Abstract
© Medpharm Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is a commonly-occurring and well-studied cause of vaginal discharge. It is characterised by typical and unsettling symptoms, with an array of risk factors and complications associated with the condition. Treatment is aimed at reducing symptoms and preventing any further complications or infections. This paper is intended to provide a review of recent information on the pathophysiology, an overview of the clinical presentation, complications and treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
