Abstract

Patients can develop pregnancy related conditions during pregnancy, from minor ailments to conditions that can cause adverse risks to mother and/or foetus, presenting unique challenges for healthcare providers for effective and safe treatment of pregnant patients. This review paper focusses on three common diseases in pregnancy - gestational diabetes, heartburn, nausea and vomiting - and outlines appropriate treatment options for pregnant patients.
