N2 - The current study investigates optical solitons with the perturbed Fokas–Lenells equation under the influences of analytical procedures, namely, the modified extended tangent hyperbolic function method, extended rational sinh–cosh method, and extended rational sin–cos method. Dark soliton, hole-like dark soliton, chirped-like dark soliton, and kink/antikink-like cuspon are revealed.
