Abstract

A study of envelope solitons propagating in an optical waveguiding media governed by the Kundu-Mukherjee-Naskar equation is presented. Formation of a gray soliton on a continuous wave background in the system is shown. Dependence of the soliton phase on the intensity of the wave is demonstrated. Additionally, the stability of the soliton structures is examined numerically under some initial perturbations.
