Abstract

Two-dimensional (2D) layered transition metal chalcogenide nanomaterial (rhombohedral phase Ni3S2) hybridized with reduced graphene oxide layers to form a new mesoporous 2D heterostructure framework was fabricated using simple chemical methods. A thin layer of the prepared heterostructure was deposited onto gold electrodes which were fixed into polyethylene terephthalate (PET) flexible substrates. The prepared device showed a reproducible room temperature sensitivity to 80 ppb ammonia concentration at 50 % relative humidity.
