Abstract

We investigate the transmission of localized waves through a dual-power law medium exhibiting the perturbations including the inter-modal dispersion, self-steepening, and self-frequency shift effects. A novel class of nonlinear waves that are periodic wave, kink soliton, algebraic soliton and bright soliton, along with the corresponding chirping, are reported. We found the nonlinear contribution chirp is proportional to n power of the light intensity, which is arising from the perturbations. Finally, the influence of degree of nonlinearity on the dynamical properties of the obtained chirped structures is presented.
