Abstract

Diterpenes represent one of the large groups of secondary metabolites identified in medicinal plants. Their skeletal backbones are diverse with compounds whose functionalities confer their multiple biological activities. This chapter reports on diterpenes identified from African medicinal plants and their biological activity. This work also focuses on the geographical locations of the studied plants and the identified biological active diterpenes between 2013 and 2023.
